IDX-listed coal mining firm PT Bara Jaya Internasional Tbk named on Wednesday Yanto Tje as its new President Director, replacing Raymond Bernardus in a management reshuffle. Yanto was previously director of the company.
During an extraordinary shareholders meeting, the company also appointed Herry Tjahjana as its new President Commissioner, replacing Awal (one name). Herry was previously a commissioner at the company.
The shareholders meeting also approved the resignation of Albert J. Bangun as director of the company. Albert tendered his resignation letter on June 14.
Bara Jaya, formerly known as PT ATPK Resources Tbk, has two coal mining subsidiaries PT Mega Alam Sejahtera (MAS) and PT Sarana Mandiri Utama. MAS was the only producing asset before the company suspended its operation earlier this year due to the price drop. The company has said it would only resume production once coal price has recovered.
MAS produced low rank coal 4,500 - 5,000 kcal/kg (adb) with total moisture 40 percent. MAS owns 41.5 million tons of coal resources.
