Bara Kumala resumes production

East Kalimantan coal miner, PT Bara Kumala Sakti (BKS) has resumed operation but the owner of the mine has reportedly changed, industrial sources told Petromindo.com
The owner is no longer Indian firm Archean Group, the source said without giving the new name of the owner.
Kutai Kartanegera regent suspended operation of the mines since September to November due to several problems including with the community and also the history of the acquisition by Archean left some problem with previous owner.
Previously, Bara Kumala produced around 400,000 tons of coal per month with CV of 5,000 kcal/kg (GAR) and sulphur content of 1.4 percent.
