Baramarta reports higher coal output in Q1

South Kalimantan coal miner PD Baramarta said on Thursday that its first quarter coal production reached 972,000 tons, higher than the target of 780,000 tons but lower than the year-ago output which stood at 1.098 million tons.
The company?s coal sales reached 937,500 tons in the first quarter this year and it targeted to produce 1.08 million tons of coal in the second quarter 2009, operations data officer Teguh Himmanulah told Petromindo.Com.
Baramarta is set its coal production at 4 million tons for this year, he said.
Baramarta sells its entire coal production through traders PT Prima Multi Minerals and PT Prima Multi Trada under 5-year contracts that will end in 2011. The company negotiates its coal price annually.
Baramarta produces coal with CV content of around 6,300-6,500 Kcal/kg (ADB). (denny)
