Baramarta sees steady coal production in 2009

South Kalimantan coal miner PD Baramarta said on Friday its 2009 production is set at 4 million tonnes, lower than last year?s production of 4.3 million tonnes.
Operations Data Officer Teguh Himmanulah told Petromindo.Com that the 4.3 million tonnes of coal the company produced last year was above target of 4 million tonnes.
Baramarta sells its entire coal production through traders PT Prima Multi Minerals and PT Prima Multi Trada under 5-year contracts that would end in 2011. The company negotiates its coal price annually.
Baramarta produces coal with CV content of around 6,300-6,500 Kcal/kg (ADB).
According to Himmanullah, the company targeted 2009 average selling price of US$75 per tonne (FOB). (denny)
