IDX-listed coal mining firm PT Baramulti Suksessarana Tbk said that its mine in Loa Janan, Samarinda, East Kalimantan, has started production since July of this year.
Baramulti Director Erick Rahardja said recently that output in the third quarter of this year was expected to reach about 500,000 tons.
He explained that the Loa Janan 4,200 kcal/kg GAR coal is mostly dedicated for export to India, the same target market for most of the output from another subsidiary PT Antang Gunung Meratus (AGM).
Baramulti has set total coal output target of 7 million tons for this year, of which AGM is expected to account for 4.7 million tons. About 80 percent of the output is exported to India, with the remainder dedicated for the domestic market.
