IDX-listed coal mining firm PT Baramulti Suksessarana Tbk said that coal production as per April of this year has reached 2.3 million tons, or about 26 percent of the full-year target of 8.6 million tons.

Baramulti Director Erick Rahardja said on Monday that the bulk 2 million tons came from its South Kalimantan concession operated by subsidiary PT Antang Gunung Meratus, and another 300,000 tons from its East Kalimantan mine.

He added that sales volume as of April of this year also stood at about 2.3 million tons.

Regarding the planned US$6.6 billion capital expenditure for this year, Erick said the company has already spent less than $1 million. ?We have to be selective (in making the spending),? he said.
