Baramulti to develop power plant

IDX-listed coal mining company PT Baramulti Suksessarana Tbk plans to build a 10 MW coal-fired power plant in East Kalimantan this year, Investor Daily reported on Wednesday.
The paper quoted company Corporate Secretary Geroad Jusuf as saying that the planned US$20 million power plant will get its coal supply from the company?s coal mine in East Kalimantan, which is expected to begin production in 2016. He did not provide further details about the power project.
Baramulti plans to increase coal production this year to 7.5 million tons from 5.2 million tons realized last year. (*)
