Baramulti unit acquires tug boats, barges

IDX-listed coal mining firm PT Baramulti Suksessarana Tbk (BSSR) said that its subsidiary PT Antang Gunung Meratus (AGM) has acquired tug boats, barges and tug boat engine with total transaction of Rp 74 billion.
Baramulti said in a statement obtained Friday that the subsidiary purchased eight tugboats, 12 barges, and five units of tug boat engine from a company called PT Armada Pelayaran Rakyat Indonesia.
It added that funding for the acquisition comes from internal source.
The acquisition of the new assets would help improve efficiency of AGM in coal transportation.
AGM owns mine, located in South Kalimantan, near the town of Rantau, approximately 100 km north-east of Banjarmasin, the provincial capital.
