South Sumatra coal miner PT Barasentosa Lestari (BSL), a recently acquired subsidiary of IDX-listed coal firm PT Golden Energy Mines Tbk (GEMS), plans to start maiden coal hauling this week after production has been resumed recently.
This was said by BSL Chief Operating Officer, Retno Nartani to Petromindo.com last week, but did not provide further details.
GEMS recently acquired BSL, which operates coal mines in Musi Rawas and Musi Banyuasin regencies, South Sumatra Province. GEMS CEO Bonifasius said previously that BSL was targeted to produce around 500,000 tons of coal this year.
BSL was a producing mine, but was forced to stop production when coal price plunged.
