Barisan Gold appoints Shawn Wescott as President

TSX-listed Barisan Gold Corporation announced Wednesday that it has appointed Shawn Westcott as President of Barisan Gold.

The company said in a statement that Westcott joins Barisan Gold from NioCorp Developments Ltd. where he spent the last 3 years leading that company's corporate communications' team, focused mainly on marketing and finance activities. During the last twelve months of his tenure at NioCorp, the company raised substantial funds and saw its share price increase by 500 percent. Prior to NioCorp, Westcott was a licensed investment advisor at one of the major brokerage houses in Canada.

Barisan Gold is currently developing the Upper Tengkereng gold-copper porphyry discovery in Aceh Province.
