Barito Pacific eyeing mining business

Publicly listed integrated timber company PT Barito Pacific Timber Tbk. said it planned to expand its business to natural resource-based fields, particularly mining.

 

“We definitely plan to expand our business. An expansion process is underway, with focus given to natural resource-based field having higher rate of pre-taxed earning, interest, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) like mining,” said Barito’s president director Antonius B. S. Hudyana in Jakarta, Wednesday.

 

Antonius, however, declined to disclose the business expansion plan and the target in detail. (*)
