IDX-listed diversified company PT Barito Pacific Tbk plans to build a power plant, possibly using coal or gas as fuel, next year, reports said on Friday.
Barito President Director Agus Pangestu was quoted by Kontan as saying that the company has allocated Rp 3-4 trillion to finance the planned project.
Agus said that the company has yet to decide on the capacity of the planned power plant.
He said that the power plant will be constructed on a plot of land in Cilegon, Banten, owned by its petrochemical subsidiary PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk. The electricity produced could either be supplied to the company or other buyers, he added. (*)
