Barito to enter renewable energy business

Jakarta-listed PT Barito Pacific Tbk said on Thursday that it plans to diversity into renewable energy and transportation sectors in a bid to seek new stream of revenue.
?We?ll look for acquisition opportunities,? said company President Director Loeki Sundjaja Putra on Thursday following a shareholders meeting, adding that the company would continue to focus on petrochemical, which accounts for almost 100 percent of the firm?s revenue.
In May 2010, Barito invested in the Madura Offshore PSC through a company called PT Petrogas Pantao Madura. (*)
