ASX-listed Bass Oil Ltd said that during the quarter ending June, a Plan of Field Development (POFD) project at the Tangai-Sukananti KSO in South Sumatra was started.

The company said in a statement last week that the project is being undertaken in association with the geological faculty of the University of Padjadjaran in Bandung, Indonesia.

?The project is a fully integrated multi disciplinary review of the entire Tangai-Sukananti KSO. The outputs of the project will include a static and dynamic model of the Bunian and Tangai fields which will inform and evaluate various development scenarios and field reserves,? Bass said in the statement.

It added that the project team also intends to mature the Bunian South West prospect for the 2018 drilling program.

Elsewhere, Bass said that mapping of 3-D seismic data set that covers the entire KSO has identified the potential for a significant extension of the Bunian field at Bunian South West.

Furthermore, mapping over the Bunian and Tangai oil fields identified the opportunity to drill a development well in each field, Bunian 5 and Tangai 5. Both wells have the potential to produce at high rates of approximately 500 to 1,000 barrels of oil per day each.

?Plans are underway to mature the drilling locations for the 2018 drilling program,? the company said.

Bass said at the end of June that the Indonesian-based team at the Tangai-Sukananti KSO has identified development opportunities capable of adding up to 350 bopd (100% JV) in production from two wells, which are scheduled to commence in early third quarter of this year.

The company said in a statement that current production consistently stands at or in excess of 600 bopd.

Bass hold a 55 percent interest in the Tangai-Sukananti production assets, located within the South Sumatra Basin, under a KSO valid until 2025.
