Bastos appointed new PT.Inco Vice President Director

IDX-listed nickel miner PT International Nickel Indonesia Tbk (PT.Inco) announced on Friday appointment of Cl?udio Renato Chaves Bastos as Vice President Director, replacing Michael Winship.

Bastos was first elected to the Board of Directors on November 23, 2007 and will retain primary responsibility for financial matters.

Operational matters, previously overseen by Winship, will now be handled by Ciho D. Bangun. Bangun was first elected to the Board of Directors on August 27, 2002.

Prior to joining PT Inco, Bastos held various positions within Companhia Vale do Rio Doce, including General Manager of the Affiliated Companies, Director of CVRD Holding GmbH in Vienna, Austria and other companies within Vale.

PT Inco is unit of Brazil firm Companhia Vale do Rio Doce, which produces nickel from its South Sulawesi mine.(denny)
