South Sumatra coal firm PT Baturona Adimulya, which is part of the Uresources Group, produced only about 500,000 tons of coal in the first half (H1) of this year.
?Realized production was almost 500,000 tons,? said Pulung Perangin-angin, Presiden Direktur of Uresources to Petromindo.com recently. He did not provide comparative figure for first-half 2016 production.
The company plans to produce up to 2 million tons of coal this year, doubling last year?s production of 1 million tons.
Pulung said that about 75 percent of the coal output are sold to the domestic market, with only 25 percent going to the export market.
Baturonona holds a coal mining contract of work (PKP2B) with concessions spanning Sungai Lilin and Keluang, in South Sumatra?s Musi Banyuasin Regency.
