Bayan Resources commissioner resigns

IDX-listed coal mining firm PT Bayan Resources Tbk said on Thursday Mauro Montenero has tendered resignation letter from his post as company commissioner.

This was revealed by the company in a filing on Thursday to the IDX, but did not provide further details.

According to company website, Montenero, an Italian citizen, was appointed into the Bayan board of commissioners in February of this year.

Prior to joining Bayan he worked in ENEL Group as the head of the Italian Fuel Unit and Group Lead Buyer. He is a member of the board of directors of an Enel-owned Colombian mining company and a joint venture between Enel and a British gas company for the construction of LNG regasification terminal in Italy. Montenero was also a board member of Global Coal, a UK based marketplace for coal trading and related services and an Italian representative in CIAB (Coal Industry Advisory Board).
