Bayan sees steady throughput at BCT

IDX-listed Kalimantan coal mining group PT Bayan Resources expects to reach 11-11.5 million tons of throughput from its coal terminal unit PT Balikpapan Coal Terminal (BCT) in East Kalimantan this year, the same compared to last year?s throughput of 11.2 million tons, a company official told Petromindo.Com
The terminal loads coal for Bayan and for third party customers, the official said without giving details
The BCT has a handling throughput capacity of 15 million tons per annum and 16 stockpiles with an aggregate capacity of approximately 1 million tons. The terminal has computer controlled reclaiming and conveying facilities that allow blending from up to four stockpiles of coal to produce coal of numerous different specifications.
