Bayan starts coal production in West Kutai

The company?s coal concession in the regency, which is operated by its subsidiaries PT Firman Ketaun Perkasa and PT Teguh Sinar Abadi is expected to produce between 1.5-2 million tons per year, with a calorific value of up to 6,500 Kcal/kg (GAD), Bayan?s marketing officer Tommy Handoko told Petromindo.Com on Tuesday.
Bayan has significant sub-bituminous coal deposits in the regency and approximately 26 coal seams have been identified each with thickness of up to 11 meters, according to the company.
According to Petromindo?s data, Teguh Sinar Abadi has 9.38 million tons of reserves and 48.7 million of measured resources, while Firman Ketaun has 21.2 million tons of reserves and 113.6 million tons of measured resources. (Alex)
