Bayan to lay off hundreds of workers

West Kutai Regional Office of Manpower Department recently stated that miners like PT Gunung Bayan Pratama Coal and PT Teguh Sinar Abadi, both subsidiaries of IDX-listed coal miner group PT Bayan Resources Tbk, have plans to lay off their employees, Kaltim Post reported Saturday.

Head of West Kutai Regional Office of Manpower Department Hermanuddin said that both miners have sent their notification letters to him. ?According to those letters, each company will lay off hundreds of employees,? Hermanuddin said. (*)
