Bayan unit faces lawsuit over land dispute

IDX-listed coal miner PT Bayan Resources Tbk said Wednesday that its subsidiary PT Teguh Sinar Abadi (TSA) has on November 3 received a summon to attend a hearing at the West Kutai Court in East Kalimantan.
The company said in statement that a villager has filed a lawsuit against the company, accused of operating in a 15 hectares land in Jengan Danum Village, Damai District, West Kutai Regency, claimed to be owned by the villager.
The company said it has appointed a legal counsel to face the lawsuit.
