BBE?s producing pit temporarily stopped due to flood

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Bukit Baiduri Energy (BBE) has temporarily ceased coal production from one of its producing pits in Jongkang area due to flood caused by heavy rain recently, an industy source told Petromindo.Com.
It will take a month or more to pump the water out from the area. The pit produces around 50,000 tons per month, the source said.
BBE has several contractors to mine its coal, including PT Surya Teknik Anugrah (STA) and PT KTC Coal mining
BBE with its concession in Kutai Kartanegara regency last year produced 2 million tons of coal with CV of 6,000 kcal/kg (ADB).
