State-owned PT Boma Bisma Indra (BBI) has completed the production of components for the development of steam-powered power plant in Mexico, BBI spokesman Rooswarini said in Surabaya on Friday.

Rooswarini said that the components ordered by ABB for the Rosarito power project in Mexico included condenser and vessels were made in the company's production facility in Pasuruan, East Java.

"Those components were completed in 1.5 months, or one month ahead of the schedule," Rooswarini said, adding that all the components were shipped to Mexico earlier this week. This was the second shipping of components to Mexico. The first shipping was conducted in July.

Rooswarini said Surabaya-based BBI had also completed similar orders of components from China, Japan, Taiwan, Russia, Egypt, Yemen, Malaysia, Singapore and others.

Rooswarini added that the value of the last shipping of condenser and atmospheric drain vessel ordered by Mexico stood at US$336,524.

"The nominal value is not big, but we are proud of our capability to take part in the development of the steam-powered power plant in the Latin America. It proves that our high tech products can compete in the world market," Rooswarini said. (*)
