East Kalimantan coal miner PT Bahari Cakrawala Sebuku (BCS), a coal unit Singapore-based coal mining firm Sakari Resources, produced 3 million tons of coal in 2012, 1 million tons up compared to 2011 output, an industry source told Petromindo.Com

The 2012 coal production figure is a correction to an earlier Petromindo.Com news which stated that last year?s coal output was 2.5 million tons.

Sebuku is targeting to produce 3-3.5 million tons of coal this year. "Production is well on track to reach our targets for 2012 and provides the foundation for further production growth next year."

The company is expecting to reach an installed capacity in 2014 of 4-4.5 million tons per year.
