BDI Mining ships diamonds for tender

Canadian junior miner BDI Mining Corp said Tuesday it had shipped about 6,498.86 carats of gem diamonds from the Cempaka mine in South Kalimantan to Antwerp of Belgium for sale by tender next week.

BDI Mining in a statement that the shipment comprised 16,787 diamonds larger than DTC (Diamond Trading Company) screen size 7 (approximately 2mm in diameter) weighing a total of 5,729.65 carats, and 9,213 fine diamonds smaller than DTC screen size 7 weighing a total of 769.21 carats.

According to the statement, about 3.293kg (105.9 oz) of gold and 0.554kg (17.8 oz) of platinum have been produced as dore from the Cempaka mine and have been despatched for refining and sale. (Robert)
