Bekasi oil production to reach 35,000 BPD in 2005: Pertamina

State oil and gas company PT.Pertamina Tbk. expects production from its oilfields in Bekasi, near Jakarta to reach 35,000 barrels per day next year, a senior company official said.

Deputy director upstream Kun Kurnaely told reporters that Pertamina would drill 10 delineation wells in Pondok Tengah this year to bring the field?s production to 15,000 barrels per day in 2005. He added that Pertamina?s Tambun oilfield which is located nearby will also increase production to 20,000 BPD from 9,000 BPD currently in 2005.(godang)
