IDX-listed industrial estate developer PT Jababeka Tbk said repair work at a 130 MW combined cycle power plant in Bekasi, West Java, operated by its fully-owned subsidiary PT Bekasi Power, has been completed sooner than anticipated, and the plant has resumed normal operation.

On July 28, Jababeka announced that scheduled maintenance work held in the second quarter of this year found a leakage at a boiler bank of one of the heat recovery steam generators of the power plant.

The repair of the boiler bank, which comprises of 720 tubes, was initially estimated to be completed at the end of August.

The company said in a statement obtained Friday that new tubes have now been installed to replace old ones. Jababeka said that the repair work has been able to be completed sooner than targeted due to good cooperation between PT Bekasi Power, and contractor PT Babcock & Wilcox Asia, the Indonesian subsidiary of Babcok and Wilcox.
