Bekasi Power W. Java project declared as national asset

The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources has issued Minister Decree No 1710K/90/MEM/2015 declaring PT Bekasi Power?s 130 MW power plant project in the Jababeka industrial estate, Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, West Java Province, as a vital national assets in the energy sector.
According to a copy of the decree obtained by this portal Friday, with this status, Bekasi Power is obliged to carry out security measures tin line with the procedures set by the National Police to protect national assets; complete land acquisition process within one year; make regular report about the security program to the ministry; and report any threats to the asset.
The status is valid for five years, and the ministry can revoke it if Bekasi Power fails to comply with the requirements.
