US oil and gas giant ConocoPhillips has resumed normal operation on its Belanak field in Natuna Sea Block B PSC since December 7, 2011.

The FSO LPG had stopped production in October 2010 after a shutdown following a catenary anchor leg mooring (CALM) buoy sank.

On the operation resumption, Rudi Rubiandini, Deputy Chairman of Operation at Upstream Sector Authority BPMIGAS said that the first lifting of LPG from the field is scheduled for mid January.

The plant has the capacity to process 21,000 barrels per day of LPG.
