Belawan-KIM-KEK pipeline project 81% complete

PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero), said its gas pipeline project in North Sumatra stretching from the port city of Belawan to two industrial areas ? Kawasan Industri Medan (KIM) and Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus (KEK) Sei Mangkei?has been 81 percent completed as of end of September.

"The project is expected to be onstream in this December of this year," President Director Hendra Jaya said in Jakarta.

Hendra explained, the 16-inch Belawan-KIM pipeline with a length of 18.5 km has a capacity of 89 mmscfd of gas, while the 12-inch KIM-KEK pipeline with a length of 138 km has a capacity of 40 mmscfd of gas.
