Belorusneft to study EOR potential at Pertamina?s Lirik Sago field

Belarus?s state-owned petroleum company Belorusneft said it has reached an agreement with Indonesia?s state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina to carry out a study on the possibility of applying EOR method at the latter?s Lirik Sago oil field in Indragiri Hulu, Riau Province.

The agreement was reached during a recent visit by Pertamina to Belorusneft, the latter firm said in a statement Monday.

?After a more specific field data is received, Belarusian and Indonesian experts will do a joint research and assess the possibility of EOR project implementation on the selected field. In case the feasibility study results prove to be positive, the project will be put in production. Otherwise, the experts will try to find another asset to demonstrate the capabilities of advanced Belarusian technologies,? the statement said.

Belorusneft is a state-owned vertically integrated petroleum company. It is a top performer of the fuel and energy complex of the Republic of Belarus, established in 1966.
