BEML bags heavy equipment orders from Indonesian miners

India's leading mining and construction equipment maker Bharat Earth Movers Ltd (BEML) has bagged orders worth US$450 million to export hydraulic excavators, rear dump trucks and bulldozers to Indonesia, Indian media reported Wednesday.
One order for 93 equipments is from Fajar Bumi Sakti, for deployment at its open cast coal mines, BEML said in a statement here Wednesday.
The second order for 34 equipments worth Rs.490 million is from Singapore's Far East Resources & Mining Co for their coal mines in Indonesia.
BEML plans to establish a sales office-cum-repair facility and spares depot at Balikpapan in Indonesia in three months to provide 24x7 after-sales support to its customers, the statement said. (*)
