Bengkulu province, Pelindo II sign MoU to build power plant

PT Tenaga Listrik Bengkulu (TLB), a firm owned by the Bengkulu provincial administration, and state owned port operator PT Pelindo II, also known as Indonesian Port Corporation (IPC), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to build a 2x100 MW coal fired power plant in the province, the province said in a statement on Monday.
The MoU was signed by IPC?s acting President Director Dede R. Martin and TLB?s President Director Petrus Halim in the presence of Governor Ridwan Mukti.
The power plant, which will be built at Bai Island, is among the projects that will be built under the 35,000 MW program, the statement said, without providing more details about the project.
