BEP to start producing coal when the market recovers

Coal mining company PT Bhakti Energi Persada (BEP), which is partly owned by IDX-listed coal giant PT Adaro Energy Tbk, plans to start producing coal from its concessions in Muara Wahau District, East Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan, once the global coal market recovers.
President Director of Adaro Energy, Boy Garibaldi Tohir told Petromindo.com on Tuesday that currently the company is preparing for the mining operation. "We are currently completing all aspects of the mining operation," he said. "For the maiden production it will depend on the market," he said, without elaborating the production plan of the company.
According to the company's presentation, Adaro has a 10.22 percent stake in BEP with an option to acquire the remaining 90 percent.
