Berau Bara Energi sends coal for Sinarmas in China

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Berau Bara Energi (BBE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of IDX-listed coal mining group PT Atlas Resources Tbk, has recently shipped coal from Tarakan to the Chinese unit of pulp and paper company Sinarmas Group.

"BBE's coal loading has been completed, expecting to leave for China on a handymax vessel with shipment quantity of 35,000 tons," a source told Petromindo.com.

The over seas voyage from Tarakan to China will take at least seven days, the source said, adding that BBE shipments to the China unit of Sinarmas Group has been started since June this year.

"At least 1 handymax vessel per month since June," the source said.

The exported coal CV is of 4900 kcal/kg (NAR). "BBE still have coal for spot buyers," the source said without giving further detail.
