Berau Coal bags 50k tons supply deal with Napocor

The Philippine power producer National Power Corp. (Napocor) has awarded East Kalimantan coal miner PT Berau Coal a contract to supply 50,000 tons of steam coal for its Naga-Cebu thermal power plant.

Berau is the sole bidder in the tender. It offers $96.00/MT(CNF), below Napocor's budget of $101.85 per ton of coal with gross calorific value of 5,120-6,640 kcal/kg.

First shipment will start in August and it will be completed in December this year, the company said in statement. (denny)
