Berau Coal books 2% increase in 9-month revenue

East Kalimantan based coal-mining firm PT. Berau Coal booked unaudited revenue of Rp. 965,0 billion (US$ = 9,220) during the nine months of this year, a two percent increase compared to last year?s corresponding period revenue of Rp. 947,7 billion, according parent company United Tractors (UT) in a report released Tuesday.

UT said during the period, Berau Coal?s sales had also slightly increased to 5,05 million tons compared to 5,02 million tons in the last year?s corresponding period. Berau Coal?s 9-month production reached 5.4 million tons.

Berau Coal?s average selling prices during the period was US$ 20.47 per ton, higher than last year?s 9-month price of $ 18.50.

71 percent of the period sales were shipped for exports market.

UT has 60 percent stake in Berau Coal. (robert)
