Berau Coal clinches 3-year supply deal with Bhatia

East Kalimantan-based coal miner PT Berau Coal has clinched a deal to supply 1.5 million tonnes of coal to its Indian existing buyer Bhatia International for another three years.
The contract, signed last year, is effecive from January 2011 until December 2013. Under the contract, Berau will supply a total of 1.5 million tonnes of coal for three years with a price based on certain formula set out in the contract by an index linked basis.
Berau Coal is expected to produce 20 million tonnes of coal this year, up from 17 million tons in 2010 and it has planned to boost its output to 30 million tonnes per annum in 2014. (denny)
