Berau Coal in negotiation with South China buyer

East Kalimantan-based coal producer PT Berau Coal is in negotiations with trader from South China for around 500,000 tons per year of coal supply, a company official said Friday.

“We are currently finalizing the negotiations, however, the deal will be made under a three year contract,” Berau’s marketing officer Eko Budi told Petromindo.Com.

Berau targeted to produce around 10 million tons of coal this year. The company has planned to export around 70 percent of this year production, while the remaining portion for domestic markets. (godang)
