Berau Coal mulls Tanjung Jati B coal supply tender

East Kalimantan coal mining firm PT. Berau Coal said on Wednesday it might participate in low calorific coal for Tanjung Jati B coal- fired which will be closed this coming June 9.

?We are still considering whether to participate in the tender,? said marketing manager Eko Budi.

Budi said that Berau might submit bid to supply at least 500,000 tones of coal per annum to Tanjung Jati B.

The 2x660 MW Tanjung Jati B, which will commence operations in 2006, is seeking between 0.5-1 million tons per year of low calorific value coal for approximately 10 years commencing June 2006 from Indonesian coal miners with existing and future coal operations. (godang)
