Berau Coal's output higher in Q2

East Kalimantan coal producer PT Berau Coal said Friday it had produced 2.496 million tons of coal in the second quarter of 2005, slightly higher than the previous quarter output of 2.308 millin tons.
?Rains have not significantly troubled our operation and we are optimistic to achieve our output target of five million tons in the second semester as the rain season has ended,? Berau president director Jeffrey Mulyono told Petromindo.Com.
Jeffrey also said Berau was currently carrying out exploration program at a 40,000 hectare Kelai block of its concession in Berau regency.
Berau targeted to produce around 10 million tons of coal this year, up from last year?s output of 9.103 million tons. (dino)
