Berau Coal?s production target slips on heavy rain

IDX-listed coal frim PT Berau Coal Energy Tbk will miss 2010 production target for its East Kalimantan coal mining unit PT Berau Coal by 300,000-500,000 tonnes as heavy rain hit the mine in the third quarter of 2010.

Corporate Secretary Andriani Pangemanan said Thursday that Berau Coal?s original production target for this year was 17 million tones.

Production until the third quarter of 2010 reached 12.2 million tones with cumulative production until November has reached 14 million tones, she said.

Berau Coal plans to produce 20 milion tones next year and 30 million tonnes in 2014, she said. (giok)
