Berau Coal sole supplier for Napocor

Philippine power producer National Power Corp. (Napocor) said on Thursday that East Kalimantan coal miner PT Berau Coal is the sole bidder for its most recent coal tender for the 100-MW Naga-Cebu coal-fired power plant
?PT Berau is the sole bidder in the most recent coal tender for the Naga coal-fired power plant. Volume is 50,000 MT. Price is $96.00/MT, (CNF),? Napocor?s VP, WESM and ERC Regulatory Compliance Officer Juan Carlos Guadarrama told Petromindo.Com.
The offer is subject to evaluation and post-qualification, and also is subject to approval by the Bids and Awards Committee, higher authorities and the Board, he said.
The coal, with gross calorific value of 5,120-6,640 kcal/kg would be delivered in 6 shipments from August to December, a report said.
The 100-megawatt Naga-Cebu plant is the only coal plant that Napocor is now operating. (denny)
