Berau Coal to start power plant and conveyor belt projects in November

IDX-listed coal company PT Berau Coal Energy Tbk has unveiled plan to start developing power plant with capacity of 2 X 20 MW in November.
The company will also build a conveyor belt system in its concession in Berau, East Kalimantan by November.
"We are currently in tender process of the projects to build power plant and a 42.3 km of conveyor belt,"Berau Coal' s President Director Rosan Roeslani said, adding that the company has allocated US$300 million for the two projects.
The winner of tender will be announced in August. 6 firms joined the tender for power plant and 7 firms bid to develop the conveyor belt.
"Most of the companies bidding for the two projects are foreign companies," he said.
