Berau Coal to use Actuate Corp?s pbviews

U.S.-based software provider Actuate Corporation said Thursday that East Kalimantan-based coal producer PT Berau Coal had selected software pbviews to standardize and automate the delivery of performance management information.

Actuate said pbviews will help Berau?s decision makers respond to: consumer markets, stakeholder demands, mine management and environmental quality standards requirements.

pbviews is developed by performancesoft Inc., a division of Actuate.

Berau produced around 9.5 million tons of coal in 2005. The company exports around 70 percent of its annual output to its traditional markets, such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, and Japan. (Robert)
