Berau Coal, Vinacomin in coal supply deal

The Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) will buy 3.5 million tonnes per annum of coal from East Kalimantan producer PT.Berau Coal to fuel a power plant in Vietnam.
Berau Coal CEO Bob Kamandanu was quoted by Investor Daily as saying that the coal would be delivered starting 2010.
Antara new agency reported on Tuesday that coal will be used for the Vinh Tan 1 thermal power plant, which is part of the Vinh Tan power complex designed to have a capacity of 4,400 MW in southern Binh Thuan province. (*)
