The tender process for the development of conveyor belt in the concession of Binungan owned by Berau Coal Energy will be finalized at the end of this year.

The tender process is ongoing and is accompanied with the evaluation of construction preparations.

?This is a long term project. We want to implement it as good as possible so that we can operate it in 2015,? Berau Coal Energy Operation Director Arief Wiedhartono told Petromindo.com in Jakarta on Friday.

The 43-kilometer conveyor, which construction is planned to start later this year, will be the longest in Indonesia. Having a carrying capacity of 3.000 tons per hour, the conveyor belt will further improve the company?s efficiency, particularly its transportation cost.
