Berau Energy net profit lower in 2010

Indonesia-listed coal producer PT Berau Energy reported that its 2010 net profit lower 27.39 percent to Rp 619.83 billion (1US$ = Rp 8,709) from Rp 853.71 billion in the previous year.
The net profit decrased despite that an increase in sales by Rp 1.27 trillion to Rp 9.59 trillion during 2010 from Rp 8.32 trillion in 2009.
Berau Coal Energy is the parent company of East Kalimantan coal miner PT Berau Coal. The company targeted to produce 20 million tonnes of coal this year, an increase from 17 million tonnes in 2010 and it has planned to boost its output to 30 million tonnes per annum in 2014. (denny)
