Berau sets to double production in 2015

East Kalimantan coal producer PT Berau Coal is planning to double production capacity by 2015, a company official said.

President Director Bob Kamandanu said Berau is planning to increase production to 30 million tonnes per annum starting 2015 to tap increasing demand both in domestic and international market.

This year, Berau is planning to produce 15 million tonnes of coal and has produced 10.5 million tonnes by the end of the third quarter. The company plans to ship 14.2 million tonnes this year.

Berau is planning to produce 17-18 MT of coal next year. (godang)
