Berau to double coal production in five years

East Kalimantan coal miner PT.Berau Coal plans to double output to 30 millionn tonnes per annum in the next five years and will invest up to US$ 120 million.

CEO Bob Kamandanu was quoted by Bisnis Indonesia daily that the company planned to increase production by 3 million every year starting 2009. This year, the company plans to produce 15 MT.

Bob said the company will open up four new pits to achieve the target. (*)
